Amy Miller joined Scotia Capital last week to run the U.S. corporate finance and distribution group. Miller will oversee loan syndications, trading, capital markets and corporate finance and reports to Steve McDonald, U.S. country head. “I’m very excited to be here,” she said. “It’s a great team, a great opportunity to work for a firm with such a longstanding commitment to the loan business.” Miller was at Merrill Lynch from 2000-2002 and served as co-head of the loan capital markets group. She took time out of the market in the interim. She was let go from Merrill when the leveraged finance and loan group was trimmed down (LMW, 10/23/02).
