GE Commercial Finance is looking to move its capital markets sales team to Manhattan from Stamford, Conn., market players said. GE officials have been telling investors it's important to have the sales desk in New York City, where many of its clients are, market participants noted.
While the firm has not yet made an official announcement, 299 Park Avenue is being tagged as the site for the group's landing. A GE spokesman and Kevin Burke, managing director and head of sales and market intelligence, declined comment.
The team has been beefing up with two new recent hires and a third hire expected to be announced this week. Edward Ribaudo has joined as a senior v.p. and Erica Frontiero is coming aboard as an assistant v.p. Ribaudo was previously director, loan sales and trading at Scotia Capital. Frontiero was formerly an account executive with NBC Universal's Telemundo group. Both Ribaudo and Frontiero will report to Burke.
