Jamie Rizzo, senior finance manager at Geller & Company, joined Fitch Ratings this month as director and is covering media companies. John Witt, senior associate in financial advisory services at Deloitte & Touche, joined Fitch in December as associate director following technology.
The agency has hired 16 analysts over the past year and expects to add a comparable amount this year, said Nancy Stroker, group managing director in corporate finance in New York. She noted Fitch’s analysts only follow up to 15 credits apiece, so if its business grows at a more rapid rate than anticipated, Fitch will increase its hiring plans.
