HSBC in London has hired Maurice Dostal, senior associate in real estate finance at Lehman Brothers in London, to build out the commercial mortgage-backed securitization team. He will report to Scott Dickens, European head of asset-backed securitization and structured finance. The addition to the team comes as part of the hiring spree for 2005 that HSBC recently highlighted (BW, 1/10). Dickens declined comment and Dostal did not return calls by press time.
At Lehman, Dostal reported to Jim Blakemore, head of the global real estate finance/principal finance group. Blakemore did not return calls by press time.
