The Seaport Group recently added Ray Murphy, managing director at SAMCO Capital Markets, as managing director in sales. Seaport is a New York-based trader and broker of distressed securities. An official at the firm said Seaport may add another salesman in coming months. Charles Engel, senior managing director in high-yield sales at SAMCO, declined comment.
