Jane Summers, executive v.p. and general counsel of The Loan Syndication and Trading Association, is resigning after over four years in the role, according to Alicia Sansone, senior v.p. of communication, marketing and education, who added that Summers wants to pursue opportunities in the private sector. Summers did not immediately respond to calls. The LSTA is now looking for a replacement general counsel, preferably someone with a loan market background, said Sansone. A departure date has not been set. Summers joined from Barclays Capital, where she was deputy general counsel. From 1984-95 Summers was a member of law firm O'Melveny & Myers finance practice.
