Mark Kibblewhite, head of corporate risk management and capital markets for Europe at Barclays Capital in London, resigned from the firm last week. He has not taken a position elsewhere, according to Kristin Friel, spokeswoman for Barclays. Kibblewhite had left the office and could not be reached.
The Barclays veteran of 20 years announced in early March he was interested in leaving the firm (BW, 3/14). Senior management unsuccessfully tried to induce him to stay by finding another role for him within the firm. Kibblewhite's boss, John Winter, head of European investment banking and debt capital markets, did not return calls.
