Ethan Garber, director in the synthetic collateralized debt group at Credit Suisse First Boston International, has left the firm. Garber said he is exploring opportunities, including joining an existing buyside shop or another firm. Garber added that he is also considering his own fund that would focus on credit-intensive capital structure arbitrage and distressed situations. He added that he did a mix of prop hedging and distressed investing at CSFB. Prior to that Garber was a distressed telecom analyst at Lehman Brothers. A CSFB spokesman did not provide more information by press time.
