Kevin Murphy and Christopher Pucillo of Stanfield Capital Partners have been recognized by the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) for their commitment to increasing education and economic opportunities for low-income youth. Dwight Anderson, principal of Ospraie Management is also being recognized at the April 26 awards at the Marriott Marquis in New York City.
The not-for-profit, which originally began in 1987 as a dropout prevention and academic performance improvement program, has now graduated 100,000 students from its business education programs. Past recipients of the NFTE award have included Henry Kravis, Julian Robertson, founder of Tiger Management Corp., and Securities and Exchange Commission chairman William Donaldson. Murphy is managing partner and director of business development and Pucillo is a partner and head of hedge fund strategies.
