Boston Advisors, an asset manager with $600 million in taxable fixed income under management, is looking to add a portfolio manager. The Boston-based manager plans to add to its staff now to manage a $350 million mandate it was awarded earlier this year by parent company AXA Financial, according to Todd Finkelstein, director of fixed income. The new recruit will assist in managing the new mandate, which encompasses a mix of asset classes including Treasuries, agencies and corporates, with a special focus on mortgage-backed securities. The new hire will report to Finkelstein.
The mandate is part of AXA's redistributing of the mutual funds of The MONY Group, which it acquired last July.
