BNP Paribas Hires Credit Trading Duo

BNP Paribas has hired Jim Bolger, managing director in credit trading at Bear Stearns, as director and senior financials trader.

BNP Paribas has hired Jim Bolger, managing director in credit trading at Bear Stearns, as director and senior financials trader. The French bank has also added Brian Hannon, high-yield and distressed trader at Imperial Capital, as a high-yield trader. Edwina Frawley, spokeswoman for BNP Paribas, said Hannon reports to John Agnew, head of high yield trading, while Bolger reports to Dan Brereton, head of U.S. credit flow trading.

Brereton joined BNP Paribas in June from UBS, where he was the head auto trader (BW, 6/27). Bolger and Hannon both declined comment and officials from Bear and Imperial did not provide further information by press time.
