London-based Via Capital, the real estate investment banking arm of Germany property bank Aareal Bank, is restructuring and Arun Mirchandani, one of its founding members, has left the firm. Mirchandani, previously head of asset finance structuring at Commerzbank Securities in London, could not be reached, though Via Capital officials confirmed the restructuring. They declined to provide further details.

Via Capital was set up in 2003 by Marc Bajer, co-head of capital markets at Commerzbank, along with securitization team members Mirchandani Robert Mizrahi and syndicate head Richard Curtis. The outfit provides mortgage and fund advisory services to a European client base and closed its first deal at the end of last year.
