GSO Capital Partners, a hedge fund run by former leveraged finance star Bennett Goodman that was spun out of Credit Suisse First Boston last year, has hired one of his former CSFB colleagues Chris Sullivan. His role at the fund manager could not be determined.
Goodman founded GSO with partners Albert Smith and Doug Ostrover last year to manage CSFB's $1 billion Credit Opportunities Fund. At CSFB, Goodman oversaw the firm's Alternative Capital Division and before that ran its merchant banking business.
Goodman was out of the country marketing the fund last week and was not available for comment. Sullivan did not return calls placed to his office at GSO. A CSFB spokesman also did not return calls.
