LSTA has hired Bridget Marsh as the association's first assistant general counsel. She will help manage the legal and regulatory affairs of the association as it expands its activities in this area.
Marsh will report directly to Elliot Ganz, general counsel at the LSTA. Ganz said Marsh will help to alleviate the LSTA's legal workload. "We're so busy. It is impossible to manage things by myself," he said. The association has become involved in a number of legal and regulatory issues, including the filing of an amicus brief in support of defendants in the Owens Corning bankruptcy case and the development of guidelines governing the use of public/private information.
Marsh practiced as a corporate finance associate at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy in New York and at Simmons & Simmons in London.
