Nancy Del Genio has joined HSBC as a managing director, heading up the loan distribution effort in the U.S. She was previously a managing director and sales manager at Deutsche Bank. She reports to Michael McGovern, managing director and head of syndicated finance for the Americas. Del Genio was out of the office and could not be reached. McGovern could also not be reached.
McGovern joined HSBC last July as part of its effort to build up its Corporate, Investment Banking and Markets division. Some in the market said additional hires are expected. McGovern reports to James Brucia, co-head of financing for the Americas, global investment banking, and Richard Cartledge, global head of syndicated finance.
Del Genio left Deutsche Bank last May (LMW, 5/23). She began her career at what was then Bankers Trust, in 1984.
