Barclays Capital Hires Another Trader For Stressed Loans

Barclays Capital hired another trader, Marc Berg from CIBC World Markets.

Barclays Capital hired another trader, Marc Berg from CIBC World Markets. Berg, a director, will be a stressed bank loan trader reporting to Rick Van Zigjl, co-head of U.S. leveraged finance. He starts in July. Berg did not return an email and a Barclays spokeswoman declined comment.

Berg joined CIBC in 2003 from Lehman Brothers (LMW, 8/18/2003).

The bank previously hired Jason Moynihan, another Lehman Brothers alumnus, in early April to head U.S. par loan trading. He also reports to Van Zigjl (CIN, 4/10). It hired ex-UBS trader Drew Doscher to build its distressed loan trading group last month. He reports to John Kreitler, managing director and head of credit trading (5/22).
