Beth MacLean, formerly portfolio manager at Nomura Corporate Research and Asset Management, has left to join Lord Abbett & Co. As first reported on CIN's Web site last week, it is unclear what role she will hold at Lord Abbett, though one market player said the firm had been looking for a head for its collateralized loan obligation group. MacLean declined comment.
It is unclear who will replace MacLean at Nomura. Rick Stewart, managing director and portfolio manager at Nomura, was out of the office and could not be reached. His office referred a call to a spokesman who did not return calls.
