* Kathleen Corbet, formerly CEO of the fixed-income division at Alliance Capital Management, starts later this month as president of Standard & Poor's financial services division in New York. Corbet replaces Leo O'Neill, who is retiring from S&P. Jeffrey Phlegar and Douglas Peebles will replace Corbet as head of Alliance's nearly $170 billion in fixed income.

 

* Gregory McManus and Conrad Suszynski have each been appointed as executive v.p. in the newly formed global structuring at distribution group of GMAC Commercial Holding.

 

* Steven Seltzer has left Credit Suisse First Boston to join Morgan Stanley as global head of high-yield syndicate, a new role. Seltzer had run the European high-yield capital markets for CSFB in London. He has also worked at Goldman Sachs.

 

* Marco Rampin recently left American International Group for BNP Paribas to oversee the firm's efforts to create securities backed by commercial real estate. He joins the London office and reports to Michael Donahue, global head of securitization.

 

* Ravindra Joseph, formerly the head of Morgan Stanley's European securitized products group, moved to Goldman Sachs. He starts at Goldman in London later this month as a managing director later this month and reports to Tim Bunting.

 

* Tom Dimond and Robert Earl have joined Barclays Capital as directors in a new Boston fixed-income sales office. They previously worked in similar roles for Goldman Sachs, which shut its Boston sales office earlier this year.

 

* Iain Barbour of Commerzbank Securities and Holger Beyer of Euro Capital Structures have been elected as chairman and vice-chairman, respectively, of the European Securitisation Forum. Barbour is global head of origination and structuring for securitized transactions at Commerzbank, while Beyer is one of the founding members of Euro Capital Structures, which is fully owned by UniCredito Italiano. They will retain their positions within the industry. Also, Peter Hansen is joining the ESF as a managing director. He reports to Scott Rankin, executive director of the forum.

 

* Monique Sinmao recently joined Criterion Research Group as the lead banking analyst. She comes from Lehman Brothers. Sinmao will cover banks such as SunTrust and Wells Fargo, among others, for Criterion. The firm is an independent research shop that provides research on both bonds and stocks.
