Jim Claire, senior v.p. and head of taxable fixed-income trading at Evergreen Investment Management in Charlotte, N.C., has moved to its short-term sales group as senior v.p. and director. As a trader, he reported to Sam Paddison, director of customized fixed income, and in his new role he reports to James Cornelius, senior v.p. of short-term investment management sales. Claire said he spent 18 years as a bond trader, including eight at Evergreen, and wanted a change. He will cover Evergreen's Midwest and New York accounts. Evergreen is owned by Wachovia Bank.
