Morgan Stanley has hired Jeff Walsh and Matt Bagley to work on its high-yield trading desk, according to an internal memo from Dan Allen, head of distressed loan and high-yield trading, and Kevin Corgan, head high-yield trader. As first reported on Credit Investment News' Web site, Walsh, an executive director, joins from Citigroup and Bagley, a v.p., joins from Bank of Montreal. Both will be reporting to Corgan.

Walsh spent 12 years at Citigroup trading high-yield bonds and before that spent 10 years at Merrill Lynch trading investment-grade and high-yield bonds. Bagley previously traded high yield and distressed debt at Lazard Freres prior to joining the Bank of Montreal. Allen was not available for comment.
