Calyon Credit Agricole CIB has hired Marc-André Poirier from Société Générale to be head of Japan Capital Markets. He succeeds Dominique Blanchard, who has been promoted to deputy head of fixed income markets.
Poirier is based in Japan. At Soc Gen he was group ceo and country Manager for SG in China. His responsibilities will include overseeing the debt capital markets division, which is responsible for the origination and securitization of Japanese securities.
A press officer for the firm confirmed the appointment, but was unable to get further details of the appointment. Poirier could not be reached for comment.
