Fred Matera, head of collateralized debt obligations at RBS Greenwich Capital Markets, has left the firm. An official who picked up the phone in the CDO department confirmed the departure but referred questions to Joseph Walsh, managing director, who was not immediately available.
Matera became the sole head of the CDO group after RBS in August cut approximately half of its 20-person CDO group, including then co-head Rick Caplan and head CDO trader Jason Golush (TS, 8/28).
Peter Ward, spokesman, did not immediately return a call for comment.
