J.P. Morgan Securities has hired Brad Harris to run its CMO businesses. Harris moves over from Credit Suisse First Boston where he was co-head of the agency collateralized mortgage obligation desk and its primary fixed-rate agency CMO trader. He was unavailable to comment. Harris will assume his new role of head of both J.P. Morgan's agency and non-agency structuring and trading desks after a 30-day mandatory non-compete clause expires. He will assume the role that had been vacant since Alan Galishoff left to join Merrill Lynch (BW, 2/3). He will report to department chief Kevin Finnerty, who declined to comment.
Harris was responsible for agency new issues at CSFB, splitting desk management duties with Rasekh Huq, who doubled as the firm's inverse trader.
