UBS Appoints New Global Leverage Finance Heads

David Juge and Warren Woo have been appointed joint heads of global leveraged finance at UBS which will consist of the global syndicated finance and leverage finance businesses of the bank.

David Juge and Warren Woo have been appointed joint heads of global leveraged finance at UBS which will consist of the global syndicated finance and leverage finance businesses of the bank. The internal promotions come a month after Huw Jenkins, ceo, told the Financial Times the bank plans to spend a couple of hundred million dollars building up its commodities and emerging markets business and its leveraged loan underwriting over the next few years.

Juge will continue to be responsible for the global syndicated finance business, reporting to Chris Ryan, global head of credit fixed income. Woo will serve as both the global head of the financial sponsors group and leverage finance origination. He will report to Ken Moelis, president of UBS, and to the global heads of the investment banking department, Rick Leaman, Jeff McDermott and Alex Wilmot-Sitwell.

Concurrent with these promotions, other appointments have taken place. Adam Reeder will become the head of the financial sponsors group and leveraged finance origination for the Americas, reporting to Woo; Steve Conway has been named the head of the financial sponsors group and leveraged finance origination for the EMEA and APAC regions, also reporting to Woo; and Brendan Connolly will become the global head of high-yield syndicate. Neither Woo nor Juge could be reached for comment.
