Deutsche Bank Adds ABS Veteran

Deutsche Bank's asset-backed securities group has hired Bill Yeung as an ABS structurer, specializing in structuring ABS transactions, particularly home equity bonds, says Richard d'Albert, who heads the group in New York. Yeung, who last worked for Nomura Securities International in New York, fills a newly created slot, says d'Albert, although he declined to comment on additional hires.

Yeung started Oct. 17, and he is reporting to Paul Mangione, a director in the ABS structuring unit. At Nomura, Yeung says he structured both ABS and commercial mortgage-backed securities, and left last winter when Nomura began a major shift away from commodity securities markets (BW, 4/17/00). He reported to Tom Capasse and Bob Young, who themselves departed NSI last March and are now at the New York unit of Australia's Macquarie Bank. Prior to working with Nomura, Yeung worked as a structured finance banker at Greenwich Capital Markets from 1992 to 1998.
