J.P. Morgan Names Co-Heads Of Global Structured Credit

J.P. Morgan Securities has named managing directors Andy Brindle and Bertrand Des Pallières global co-heads of structured credit, expanding their existing titles. Both officially replace Romita Shetty, who resigned from the post in December and is still at the firm evaluating whether she will accept another role or leave.

Brindle, based in New York, will assume his new functions in addition to being head of global credit derivatives. London-based Des Pallières will keep his existing position in charge of interest rate derivatives. Brindle declined to comment. Des Pallières did not return calls by press time last Friday. Shetty could not be reached for comment. Michael Dorfsman, a spokesman at J.P. Morgan, confirmed the moves but declined to elaborate.

Day-to-day collateralized debt obligations and credit derivatives origination and structuring business for the U.S. will continue to be handled by Andrew Palmer, managing director credit derivatives and marketing, and Maleyne Syracuse, managing director in charge of CDOs origination. Both now report to Brindle and Des Pallières.
