UBS Relocates Former MD Of CDO Group

BondWeek is the leading news publication for fixed-income professionals, covering new deals, structures, asset-backed securities, industry and market activity.

Gina Hubbell, a former managing director of collateralized debt obligation structuring at UBS Warburg in Stamford, Conn, has been relocated within the firm to a position in New York. The move follows the recent hires of Jeff Herlyn and Mike Rosenberg from J.P. Morgan Securities as global co-heads of UBS' CDO origination business, in new roles (BW, 3/9).

One outsider says Hubbell was the most senior CDO structurer in the U.S. before her role was supplanted by the arrival of Herlyn and Rosenberg, and that her relocation was inevitable after they were brought in. The outsider Hubbell is now working in some kind of portfolio selection role for a proprietary structured credit account. Hubbell did not return a call to her mobile phone. Herlyn and Rosenberg were unavailable to comment and Kris Kagel, a firm spokesman, was unable to provide further details.
