HSBC Bank has hired Markus Herrmann, formerly a senior securitization analyst at Deutsche Bank, to establish a European securitization research effort. Herrmann left Deutsche Bank earlier this month and has yet to join HSBC. Ganesh Rajendra, head of European securitization research at Deutsche Bank in London, says he is actively seeking a replacement for Herrmann.

Frances Hutchinson, head of fixed-income credit research at HSBC, was on holiday and could not be reached for comment. A spokeswoman did not comment by press time. Herrmann was a securitization generalist at Deutsche Bank. It could not be learned if HSBC is planning further securitization research hires.
