CSFB Bond Pros Swim Around Manhattan

BondWeek is the leading news publication for fixed-income professionals, covering new deals, structures, asset-backed securities, industry and market activity.

A group of six Credit Suisse First Boston fixed-income specialists from London, New York and Singapore braved the murky waters surrounding Manhattan to raise in excess of $50,000 for charity. On the weekend of June 20, Frank Cerveny, Adrian Carr, Virginia Corbett, Sondra Vitols, Chris Flanagan and Scott McDonald, swam 28.5 miles to benefit Sargent Macmillan, a charity supporting children living with cancer.

Carr, CSFB's head of European securitization syndication and trading in London, says the greatest obstacle was the sewage works on the Hudson River. And, despite Manhattan waterways' less-than-sanitary reputation, Carr reports no floating bodies were sighted.
