Radian Asset Assurance, a monoline wrapper of term asset-backed deals and collateralized debt obligations, has hired Eleanor Gibson, a structured finance sales professional from Merrill Lynch in London, and is seeking to hire a quantitative analyst to work out of its growing London office. Ned Bowers, managing director and head of global structured products in New York, says the hire is an addition to the team, which currently has three professionals working on a European-wide mandate to generate business in structured finance- and exchange-related fields. Bowers starts this week, and along with the new research hire, will report to Andrew Reid, head of European structured products in London.
Radian has roughly 28 structured finance professionals working out of New York and expects to add a couple more by the end of the year, according to Bowers.
