Susan Estes, Deutsche Bank's head of fixed-income Americas, is back on the government trading desk, trading all sectors that have any duration, in the wake of the departure of three senior U.S. Treasury traders to Barclays Capital. She says that "all is normal here" and that she has taken over trading duties "aided by a pretty deep junior bench." She declined to comment on what junior traders have assumed more senior roles following the departure of desk head Paul Calvetti, 10-year trader Will John and strips trader Adam Brown. She says she has not made a decision on who will assume the role of running the government bond desk. Estes' last stint on a desk ended in 2001, when she left Morgan Stanley after running its government desk for several years.
