BofA Appoints CMO Veteran To Lead MBS

BondWeek is the leading news publication for fixed-income professionals, covering new deals, structures, asset-backed securities, industry and market activity.

Banc of America Securities has appointed Antoine Schetritt, head of its New York-based collateralized mortgage obligation desk, to co-head its mortgage-backed securities effort along with George Ellison. Schetritt declined comment when reached at his desk.

Schetritt will be responsible for all MBS trading, sales and research in both New York and Charlotte, assuming duties that Pat Augustine had, prior to his elevation to running the firm's investment-grade and securitized product efforts this past summer. Augustine was traveling in Europe and was unavailable to comment. Schetritt will continue reporting to Augustine. Chris Hentemenn, also in conjunction with Ellison, will run the bank's global structured finance group, which includes ABS and CMBS. It is believed that Ellison will lead the origination efforts in these areas and Schetritt and Hentemenn will focus on trading, sales and research.
