Libertas Partners has hired four salespeople, giving the newly formed Connecticut-based high-yield dealer a total of 17 employees. Sal Abbatiello, coo and president, says he is continuing to add to the group, and hopes to hire five more salespeople, two traders and an analyst.
The most senior of the new hires is Wayne Wright, a 15-year veteran who last worked at Barclays Capital, which shuttered its high-yield operation over a year ago. Wright also spent several years at the former Prudential Securities. The other salespeople are Gene Zabezhinsky, Nancy Bogen and Amer Siddiqui. Abbatiello started Libertas late last year with Gary Katcher, a former colleague from RBC Capital Markets (BW, 11/17).
