Scottish Widows Investment Partnership is in the market to hire two credit analysts. Both new hires will be for Scottish Widows' credit unit, which is within the global bonds and economics team, according to an official familiar with the plans. The planned additions are thought to be newly created positions. A firm spokeswoman did not comment by press time. It could not be learned to whom the new hires will report.
Scottish Widows hired a new portfolio manager earlier this summer, also in a newly created role. David Thomlinson joined in June from Abbey National Asset Management as a corporate bond manager. He is also focusing on high-yield bonds and reports to Stuart McMaster, investment director and head of credit.
