UBS has added James Cafferty and Richard Joyce to strengthen its fixed-income salesforce, according to Jon Bass, managing director and U.S. head of distribution. "We are continuing to expand and hire to be on the top of the game," Bass maintained.
Cafferty joins from Citigroup Global Markets as a director in the cross-rates sales group and will focus on selling mortgage and interest rate derivatives to New England accounts. He reports to John Altier, managing director and head of the government sales group at UBS.
Joyce, meanwhile, previously worked at Goldman Sachs and will distribute credit derivatives. Joyce reports directly to Bass. Both new hires left their previous firms more than a month ago and will work out of UBS' Stamford, Conn., office.
