* ABN AMRO has recently hired William Eagan III as head of financial institutions and public sector banking, North America. Eagan will be based in New York. He has prior experience at Lehman Brothers, where he was managing director and co-head of the depository institutions group for North America and held similar positions at J.P. Morgan Securities and UBS. Most recently he was a partner at MG Advisors.
* Anna Lees-Jones and Kieran Roane have joined the fixed income team at Investec Asset Management, reporting to John Stopford, head of fixed income. Lees-Jones joins from Prudential M&G, and will be a fixed income portfolio manager. Roane joins from the Financial Services Authority, the U.K. regulator, and will be a credit analyst
* Jeffrey Simpson, Garry Hills and Andrew Johnson have been named to top positions at Wilmington Trust SP Services, Delaware. Simpson will head the client service team dedicated to special purpose entities (SPEs), Hills will head the Trust's office in Las Vegas which has become a popular choice for companies to domicile SPEs and Johnson will be the director and chief operating officer of Wilmington Trust (Cayman) Ltd that provides services to offshore trusts and SPEs involved in securitization and structured finance transactions.
* J.P. Morgan Securities promoted Fawzi Kyriakos-Saad to run its European rates business, which is responsible for sales and trading of government debt and derivatives. He will continue to manage the European credit unit and maintain his role as global head of emerging markets. Tom Hoppe who ran the European rates business will now be head of business management and finance in Europe. Hoppe and Kyriakos-Saad report to William Winters, co-head of J.P. Morgan's investment bank in London.
* Elizabeth Krentzman, partner at Deloitte & Touche, has been named by the Investment Company Institute as its general counsel. Krentzman leads Deloitte's regulatory compliance practice for mutual funds. She assumes her new role next month and will be reporting to Paul Stevens, the incoming ICI president.
