SG Hires New Latin America Debt Head

SG Corporate & Investment Banking has hired Ruth Rhei Rencricca as head of syndications for Latin America.

SG Corporate & Investment Banking has hired Ruth Rhei Rencricca as head of syndications for Latin America. Based in New York, she reports to Bob Woods, SG CIB's head of debt syndication for the Americas. She is working on origination, structuring and distribution of syndicated loans for Latin American corporations. Her first day was Sept. 6.

"I think my mandate is to be working with SG to bolster presence in Latin American finance, especially focused on Mexico, Brazil and Chile, and to help build loan syndications...in emerging markets," Rencricca said. SG has been in Latin America for over 40 years, but has strategically made the decision to increase its profile in the area, she explained.

Rencricca joined SG from Provident Group, where she focused on the middle market, specifically in Brazil. Before that she worked for Goldman Sachs where she originated, structured and closed purchases and sales of distressed loan portfolios.
