Tony Malloy, a six-year veteran at New York Life Investment Management, has been promoted to senior managing director and head of NYLIM Securities Investment Group. Malloy will be in charge of managing a portfolio of more than $100 billion in high yield bonds, investment grade corporate bonds, bank loans, private placements, emerging markets, project finance and asset backed securities. Malloy will be working with a team of 70 investment professionals. He retains his duties as co-manager of the retail and institutional leveraged loan fund along with Robert Dial.
Malloy will be reporting to Frank Ollari, executive v.p. and head of fixed income at NYLIM.
The position Malloy has moved to is a new one at NYLIM. Malloy has been at NYLIM since 1999 and has launched collaterlaized loan obligations, mutual funds and institutional accounts as a part of its $3.5 billion leveraged loan business. He was unavailable for comment.
