Distressed debt investment firm Quadrangle Group has hired Gordon Holmes, a former general partner at buyout firm Forstmann Little, as a managing principal effective Nov. 21.

Distressed debt investment firm Quadrangle Group has hired Gordon Holmes, a former general partner at buyout firm Forstmann Little, as a managing principal effective Nov. 21. Holmes will join the private equity team at Quadrangle, which invests in media and telecommunications companies. Holmes was involved in Forstmann Little's $2 billion acquisition of Citadel Broadcasting Corp., where he was a director. Most recently, he was involved in the company's $1.6 billion acquisition of 24 Hour Fitness. Officials at Quadrangle did not return calls. Holmes could not be reached for comment.
