-- Daniel Flatt
Norton Rose has hired Islamic finance specialist Farmida Bi from Denton Wilde Sapte as a securitization partner. Bi, the head of international Islamic finance at Denton Wilde, had only been in the role since June this year. She worked on the ground-breaking Tamweel deal in Dubai, the first Shariah-compliant securitization (TS, 21/06).
Duncan Miller, spokesman for Denton Wilde, confirmed the departure and added the group was restructuring internally to immediately cover the role. Norton Rose officials did not return calls.
