McKee Nelson has hired Alice Yurke from Morrison & Foerster to co-head its structured products group along with William Gray. Yurke’s position is newly created as McKee Nelson expands its structured products group. A spokesman for the company could not elaborate on whether the expansion would translate into more new hires or reallocation of current personnel.
In her new position Yurke will work on a variety of structures, including credit-, equity- and hedge fund-linked notes. “If one product goes to pot another is coming up, and not that many [law firms] deal in structured products, so lawyers that do tend to see a lot more of an across-the-board sampling of products than even the banks,” Yurke said.
