Daniel Kim, managing principal at CapitalFusion Alternative Investments, has left the Los Angeles-based asset manager, effective Friday, to start his own firm. An official at CapFusion confirmed the departure, but declined further comment.
Kim, who helped launch the company a year ago, could not be reached for comment. CapFusion recently started marketing a second credit opportunity fund, anticipated to be less than half the size of a $250 million fund the company started marketing in August (TS, 11/28).
