Bank of America Merrill Lynch has named JPMorgan veteran Bryan Weadock to its global markets group as head of Americas fixed income sales. Weadock, who is currently on gardening leave, will begin his new role in July, reporting to Mike Meyer, global head of sales for the global markets platform.
The fixed income team covers primary issuance and secondary market trading for products including corporate bonds, syndicated loans, asset- and mortgage-backed securities, as well as municipal financing, rates, currencies and commodities.
Until Weadock comes on board Meyer will continue to fill the role, as he has since being named global head of sales late last year after the merger between B of A and Merrill. Weadock was with JPMorgan for 17 years. Most recently he was head of investor client management. Before that he was head of North American fixed income sales. It could not be immediately determined if Weadock has been replaced.
A B of A spokeswoman declined comment. A call to JPMorgan was not immediately returned.
