Fitch proposals could shrink swap costs
The shrinking pool of structured finance swap counterparties could expand again under proposals from rating agency Fitch. The agency is consulting on changing its criteria to give possible counterparties a much wider range of options to secure top ratings — potentially increasing competition in the sector and bringing costs down.
