Chris Marks, London-based managing director in Barclays Capital’s securitization team, will start at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in October. Marks will be a managing director reporting to Martin Migliara, head of asset-backed securities, and will work alongside Matthew Cooke, managing director.
Further details of the role could not be determined. Marks could not be located for comment. Migliara, Cooke and spokesmen from B of A and BarCap did not immediately return phone calls.
B of A’s London securitization team has undergone a number of changes since the merger with Merrill Lynch. Some market officials recently said the merger has led to a rift within the department (TS, 02/07/10).
Marks had been at Barclays since 2004, answering to Allen Appen, head of securitization. It could not be determined if Barclays will replace Marks.
Appen did not return phone calls.
