UBS has hired Obi Nwokorie, formerly of Credit Suisse First Boston, for its structured finance team in New York. Nwokorie, who starts in a couple weeks, will be a structurer in the mortgage-backed securities group and will report to Jeff Lown, executive director in MBS trading, according to Kris Kagel, spokesman. Nwokorie (pronounced "Walker") was between jobs and did not respond to an e-mail message.
At CSFB, Nwokorie was a director and reported to Greg Richter, managing director and head of the asset-backed group in New York. He was traveling last week. John Gallagher, spokesman, confirmed Nwokorie's departure.
