Morgan Stanley Nabs JPM CDO Structurer

Morgan Stanley has hired JPMorgan's Jerry Van Koolbergen as an executive director reporting to Laya Khadjavi, global head of collateralized debt obligations at the bank.

Morgan Stanley has hired JPMorgan's Jerry Van Koolbergen as an executive director reporting to Laya Khadjavi, global head of collateralized debt obligations at the bank. He will be a CDO marketer and is starting July 5. A Morgan Stanley spokesman confirmed the hire. Calls to a JPMorgan spokeswoman were not returned.

At JPMorgan, it is believed Van Koolbergen reported to Brian Zeitlin, global head of structured credit. There he was a CDO marketer, structuring collateralized loan obligations and ABS. Zeitlin did not return a call.
