BNP Paribas may add one to two junior-to mid-level investment-grade analysts to its corporate bond research team in New York. Joe Labriola, head of investment-grade research, says the firm may add the researchers depending on needs relative to market conditions. Labriola says the new positions would be added if the market continues to improve, which he expects will happen. He notes expectations are that the corporate market will be softer than last year but otherwise healthy and continue on a positive track. Labriola says he currently does not have any particular sector in mind for the new roles and that they would be entirely driven by market need.
