Barclays Capital has hired Yukari Saegusa from Citigroup Global Markets as a director for its investment-grade utility and energy debt origination business, according to Jim Glascott, managing director and head of utility and energy debt capital markets in New York. Saegusa starts this week in her role, which is a new position. Glascott said it was created as part of Barclays' continued efforts to expand its business. He added that, specifically, Saegusa will spearhead origination in the energy debt capital markets, as well as cover some utilities.
Saegusa was a director in corporate finance at Citigroup, which she left earlier this month. Danielle Romero-Apsilos, a Citigroup spokeswoman, declined to comment.
