Jim Sweeney will begin working as a trader on the loan desk of TD Securities next Monday. Loan sources said Sweeney will trade alongside Mark Sorensen, a managing director in the firm's high-yield loan trading group. Sweeney had been a sourcer at Imperial Capital. Prior to Imperial, Sweeney had a long tenure at BT Alex. Brown and was still with the firm when it became Deutsche Bank. Sweeney could not be reached. Officials at TD and Imperial did not return calls by press time.
